Order your repeat prescription
Repeat Prescriptions:
Pharmacies are not allowed to issue prescription only medicines without a repeat prescription in place.These are normally available in 5 full working days but please allow one full working day for your GP to approve you request and send the prescription to the pharmacy (this is usually done electronically). The best way of obtaining your repeat prescription as quickly as possible is to use the NHS app for ordering. This is quick and easy and you will receive a notification when your medication is ready to collect if you supply or have supplied your mobile phone number to the pharmacy.
So we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect, register for the pharmacy text service either when you are next in the pharmacy or by email to: berinsfield.pharmacy@nhs.net We just need your name, DoB and mobile phone number.
Ordering repeat prescriptions:
Repeat prescriptions should be requested in one of the following ways:
- The quickest and easist way is to order on the NHS app. If you don't already have it, download the NHS app on your smart phone and set up your login. You need a mobile phone number and an email address. Once set up, select your GP Practice and you will be able to see your repeat prescription list. Order what you need and ensure Berinsfield Pharmacy is your nominated pharmacy so the prescription is sent there. We do the rest and will let you know when to collect if we have your mobile phone number.
- If you don't want to use the NHS app, you can register for Patient Access by phoning your practice to set this up. This links you to your patient record in the same way as the NHS app and allows you to see your medication list and order those that you need.
- If you are registered at Berinsfield Helath Centre, you can request via secure email to: berinsfield.prescriptions@nhs.net
